How can I set time BACKWARDS on AirCurve 10? - caffellatte - 09-07-2023 I was checking the settings (in the clinical menu) on my ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV. I noticed that the time was 5 or 10 minutes off. I thought I would re-set the time so the machine would show the correct time. Unfortunately, I set it wrong. I am used to digital clocks that have you set the hour and then the minutes. This machine has you set minutes first and then the hour, so I reversed the values. I was able to correct the minutes, but I ended up with the clock set to a time 4 hours in the future, so if it is really 7:15, the machine shows the time as 11:15. When I tried to correct it, I got an error message that it is not possible to set the machine to an earlier time. Is there any way to correct this? RE: How can I set time BACKWARDS on AirCurve 10? - Crimson Nape - 09-07-2023 If you don't use it after the CPAP's noon hour (day change), which would be 8:00AM actual, you can set it back. You will need to wait until 1:00PM (13:00 hrs) actual time, and set it back 4 hours. This would make the CPAP time of 5:00PM (17:00 hrs) before you set it back to the correct time. -- Red RE: How can I set time BACKWARDS on AirCurve 10? - caffellatte - 09-08-2023 When I read your reply, I thought, "OMG! That easy!" Unfortunately, I received your reply too late in the evening, and the machine had already switched to the next date. I should have been patient and waited till the next day, but I didn't. I tried some other things, and I ended up making things much worse. Now the machine is 18 hours ahead, plus one day ahead. (I thought I could advance it to the correct hour on the following day, but it did not allow me to. I'm just stuck with the incorrect day plus the incorrect time.) I checked the clinician's manual, and it says that neither Reset Defaults nor Erase Data will affect date and time. Is there anything I can do now? If not, I guess I'll just use it without having it report the correct date and time. RE: How can I set time BACKWARDS on AirCurve 10? - caffellatte - 09-08-2023 Looking at other posts on the subject (which I could not find before my original post), I see they say that erasing user data will allow one to change date and time backward. But they are fairly old. Or maybe I misunderstood the manual. The Clinician Manual says that Erase Data does the following: "Erase all data stored on the device and the SD card. Settings, date, time and device run hours are not affected." But even though that action does not affect date and time, would it allow me to reset date and time once I have erased my data? My machine connects to ResMed over a modem and sends my data. Would it be better to keep my machine on airplane mode for a few days before I erase data, so the machine does not send new data for a date for which it already sent data (because it is running 42 hours ahead?). I assume that since the machine serial number has not changed, after I erase user data and reset time, the ResMed system will still recognized the machine as mine and accept uploads. Thank you for your help. RE: How can I set time BACKWARDS on AirCurve 10? - caffellatte - 09-09-2023 @Crimson Nape, I went ahead and tried Erase Data last night. As I had guessed, that action by itself did not change date and time, but it allowed me to change date and time. It left all settings—both clinician settings such as pressure and user settings like humidity—unchanged. I could immediately move the date BACK 2 days to the current date; at that point I actually needed to move the time AHEAD to get the correct combination of date and time. I am currently still in airplane mode. I plan to wait 2–3 days and erase data again before allowing my machine to upload data to the cloud. I want to be sure that I don't upload data for the same date that I already uploaded it when the machine was set 2 days ahead. Thanks again for your solution, which would have worked had I been patient and waited one more night. |
