Oscar on Apple ipad - wallybru - 09-16-2023 How is Oscar installed on her iPad? It looks like it can only be installed on a desktop. RE: Oscar on Apple ipad - Crimson Nape - 09-16-2023 Hi wallybru! - Who is her? Where did you see what you are describing? - Red RE: Oscar on Apple ipad - SuperSleeper - 09-16-2023 Hi Wally - welcome to the forum! If you're asking "Can OSCAR be installed on an iPad?", the answer is no, not at this time. OSCAR requires a personal computer with an SD card slot or SD card reader, and runs on the following operating systems: Windows 7/8/10/11 macOS 10.13 High Sierra or higher Linux Debian and Ubuntu Chromebook AMD64 and ARM64 RasPiOS 32bit and 64bit. Since iPads use the iOS operating system, they are not currently compatible with OSCAR. Although the developers have talked about it, I believe there are some major hurdles that would need to be overcome in order for them to provide a version for iPads anytime soon. In addition, OSCAR does require a lot of screen space, so that also might be an issue when attempting to develop one for smaller mobile devices. RE: Oscar on Apple ipad - wallybru - 09-18-2023 I meant: “how is Oscar installed on an iPad “ (Not ‘her’ iPad) I use the dictate functions on an apple iPad and sometimes the function doesn’t interpret correctly. |
