rosebladepat (ASV - any suggestions or adjustments?) - rosebladepat - 09-24-2023

Hi, I've been using the ResMed Aircurve 10 ASV for the past two months. Recently, I learned how to access the clinical settings and have adjusted my levels to increase the effectiveness of the machine.

Before:
ASV (regular)
EPAP min:  5
PS min: 2
PS max: 15
IPAP: 20

Now:
ASV (auto)
EPAP min:  7-8
EPAP max: 15
PS min:  4
PS max: 18 or 17
IPAP: 25 (given)

My main issue is that when I stop breathing (Cheynes-Stokes Respiration), I don't take in air the first couple of rounds offered by the machine. And, I don't breathe in until the last round, when the pressure is really high, which often causes a mask leak and makes me wake up, preventing me from any kind of deep sleep.

Any suggestions on adjustments I can make to the ASV levels?

I currently use these settings: EPAP min: 5.8, EPAP max: 10, PS min: 3, PS max 15. I had the max settings higher like yours, but had a great deal of aerophasia with those settings and did not sleep as well. The current settings are less aggressive, but it can still set IPAP to 25 when experiencing obstructive apneas. I like the current settings much better, and still have low AHI, especially with the N30i mask.
