ResMed AirSense 11 - dean406 - 09-24-2023

Just got an AS11.  It comes with a single MAINS power jack and an adapter that appears to provide 24 volts DC to the APAP from the household AC current. I want to find a method to create an uninterruptible power supply to the CPAP using a 12 volt battery.

history:
The AS11 is replacing an Devilbiss intellipap machine.  The Intellipap came with two incoming power jacks.  One for AC and a separate jack for 12 volts DC.  For the Intellipap, I simply had both AC and DC plugged in simultaneously.  The 12 volt battery was connected to a trickle charger and this configuration worked perfectly.  If household AC went out, the machine automatically switched to DC without any disruption.  When household AC power was restored, it switched back to using AC - again, without any disruption.

Am I missing something with ResMed devices - or is this configuration basically impossible without some customized electrical engineering.
