Second Night, how does it look? - sleepygoo - 09-25-2023 New to CPAP therapy. Got the airsense 11 vitera full face. Doing 9-14 pressure. epr lvl 2. no ramp. Im struggling to sleep but love therapy! I feel so so much better today!!! Had a headache every day last week. Let me know how my numbers look please! RE: Second Night, how does it look? - Gideon - 09-25-2023 Welcome to the forum. This is mostly CA events. These sho as occurring with NO EPR, EPR=1, and EPR=2 so it looks like EPR is not having a significant effect on your CA events. Your Flow Limits are a bit high, 0.07 95% so I'd want to keep at least some EPR, if not a bit more but with your CA events for now I want to be a bit cautious. We will leave this alone for right now. We need to get a handle on your CA events so... Can you post a (hopefully) full redacted copy of your sleep test(s). These should include the charts and tables in addition to the narrative. This is to evaluate for the presence of Central Apnea. See the "clump" of CA events at about 04:45. I'd like a 4-minute zoomed view of your charts showing the leadup to that clump and the first couple of CA events so we can see what is going on. Also do the same for another group of CA events. RE: Second Night, how does it look? - sleepygoo - 09-25-2023 Gideon: I got the unit two days ago and tried it on during daytime to see what I like. I did first night with EPR lvl 2. I turned EPR off 2nd night and hated it, felt like i was suffocating but in reverse. I tried lvl 1 and then went back to lvl2 in the middle of the night. I felt like I was suffocating at lower pressures. I was struggling last night until i turned on EPR lvl 2. I could probably get by with lvl1 but its not comfortable. I do not have a sleep study. I bought this new after suffering from snoring and headaches for a long time, at least a few years on and off. I could not take the headaches anymore. RE: Second Night, how does it look? - Gideon - 09-25-2023 Ok, Based on 10 being your comfort level with pressure, Set Min=13 Max=15 EPR=3, Fulltime. What this will do is start you at a Exhale pressure of 10, inhale of 13, and allow those to increase by 2 IF needed. Why is that your zoom charts are showing arousals and a lot of flow limitation. EPR will actually treat that flow limitation. This change is an attempt to see if we can get you to use the EPR comfortably. RE: Second Night, how does it look? - sleepygoo - 09-25-2023 Thank you Gideon, will update with results in a few days!!! RE: Second Night, how does it look? - Kathy14225 - 09-25-2023 I'm following this, lots of CAs! RE: Second Night, how does it look? - quiescence at last - 09-25-2023 your Obstructive Apnea score is low, so the only thing we can know for sure is this treatment makes you feel good, it has knocked out your snoring and possibly your headaches. we don't know for sure that you had obstructive apnea. what is good about doing a test without CPAP is that we would see what the recordings were without pressure and what the doctor's interpretation was. A sleep study also can show how blood oxygen is affected, and what amounts of various sleep stages you got. Hope you continue to be relieved, and can get good sleep. QAL RE: Second Night, how does it look? - sleepygoo - 09-25-2023 Here is my chart with Tidal included RE: Second Night, how does it look? - Kathy14225 - 09-27-2023 I'm not seeing anything on the flow limitation graph? You are saying there is a lot? I'm trying to get mine down and looks more like the 3rd chart posted. AHI is way better in that one. |
