Fetal position with shallow breathing - Shoelessjoe56 - 10-14-2023 I have central apnea and shallow breathe. Along with my asv I'm on oxygen. The weather has turned cold I have started to sleep in a fetal position. Going from 77% oxygen I've gone down to 92 and am looking for tricks to go away from fetal to back to side position. Help RE: Fetal position with shallow breathing - eflat - 10-15-2023 For me, it was, first off, warm socks, and second, making sure my blankets covered such that no drafts got in. If it gets to hot I can use my feet to move the covers to let some air exchange. It's a complicated system RE: Fetal position with shallow breathing - BuffaloBob - 10-26-2023 If you've gone from 77% O2 to 92%, you're just about there, so no worries now about that. I, too, am on an ASV for my Central Apnea, but I've been told by my doctor not to sleep on my back, and when I do, sure enough my AHIs go up. My best position is to sleep on my right side, tuck my chin just a little, and visualize "disappearing into my mask." When I do all that my ASV machine doesn't "fight" me and my AHIs come out between 0.0 and 1.0. |
