Preparing for first night with CPAP (help required) - applebee - 10-28-2023

Hi all, what an amazing resource you've set up here.

I have a ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet arriving tomorrow with a nasal mask.  I have also purchased a Wellue O2Ring oximeter, which will arrive in a week.  I have never used a CPAP or other breathing equipment before.

I am hoping to get some advice on initial settings and the process to dial in my pressure range.  I have downloaded OSCAR.

Based on some research I've done, here is what I have so far:

Settings (clinician's menu)
  • Mode: AutoSet
  • Max Pressure: 20
  • Min Pressure: 5
  • Mask: Nasal
  • Ramp: Off
  • EPR: Off
  • Climate Control: Auto
  • Tube Temp: Auto
  • AB Filter: No
  • SmartStart: On
Questions

Is 5-20 a good starting point?

Once I've put my data into OSCAR, is there a good straightforward tutorial to help me analyse it?

I can post the screenshot of the first night in a couple of days as well.

Oh I found the Optimising Therapy Wiki page right after posting this.

I'll change to 6-20 cmH2O in Auto mode and post a screenshot after the first night.

To start with I would try the following set.

Min 7
max 20
EPR on FULL TIME

EPR set to 3
Turn off Ramp.

This is what I would recommend and then post tomorrow you Oscar with the charts organized as in my signature.
