would it matter if you ran a cpap (without humidifier) on its side?on its side - snorin2 - 11-16-2023 it would save counter space to run cpap on a side instead of the bottom. Any problems anyone? RE: would it matter if you ran a cpap (without humidifier) on its side?on its side - SarcasticDave94 - 11-16-2023 You would have to use the accessory block off plate instead of the humidifier. Then it maybe is acceptable. I myself would find it harder to push the power button, I never used auto start/stop. RE: would it matter if you ran a cpap (without humidifier) on its side?on its side - paulag1955 - 11-16-2023 How much space would you really be saving? RE: would it matter if you ran a cpap (without humidifier) on its side?on its side - RNeil - 11-16-2023 My machine has the air intake on the side. I think it has rubber feet on the bottom. RE: would it matter if you ran a cpap (without humidifier) on its side?on its side - snorin2 - 11-16-2023 thanks all for your comments well you cant rest on the air intake side, or on the power button side or the air outlet side of the s9 but there are 2 other sides sometimes saving even an inch can help the install I have it all in a plastic dishpan and I need another 2 inches of space which I could get if I turned the machine on its side the question is : will it affect the operation if the machine? RE: would it matter if you ran a cpap (without humidifier) on its side?on its side - Sleeprider - 11-16-2023 None of the components are affected by operating angle, however the unit is most stable and quiet in its intended orientation. RE: would it matter if you ran a cpap (without humidifier) on its side?on its side - PaulaO2 - 11-17-2023 I did have to run my S9 on its side for a few nights while I was traveling. It was very noisy in this position but I didn't notice any change in data. The problem with the A10 is the side opposite the tank/tub is rather uneven and, since that is where the filter and air intake is, you would have to somehow prevent that from being blocked. I would assume any blockage there would effect treatment. The humidifier end is even more unstable. I have the plate to put in place of the tank but I've never used it so don't know about stability. You don't want the machine to fall over too many times. My machine sits on an old shelf which is propped up by two old paint cans. RE: would it matter if you ran a cpap (without humidifier) on its side?on its side - snorin2 - 11-17-2023 Thanks Sleeprider and Paula02. I'm travelling and using my S9 and an external humidifier, all placed in a small plastic tub in case the humidifier leaks etc. Not quite enough room. So with your kind advice, I put the S9 on it's side and everything now fits with a little room to spare. To soften the vibration, in light of comments, I put a small washcloth under the S9. Foam might be better but I have none at hand. If I have any problems, I'll report tomorrow. RE: would it matter if you ran a cpap (without humidifier) on its side?on its side - snorin2 - 11-19-2023 I have run with the s9 on its side now a couple of nights and it has worked fine. |
