New AirSense 10 is very loud. - xian67 - 12-15-2023
I had my previous ResMed Airsense 10 for about 5 years with my old insurance. I got Kaiser through my new employer last year. I was stupidly paying for hoses, masks, filters etc out of pocket instead of going through Kaiser because I didn't want to do another sleep study. Long story short I went through the process again and they gave me a new ResMed Airsense 10 (cheap bastards couldn't give me the 11 lol). This new machine is so much louder than the one I had before. I mirrored the settings from the previous machine to this one. I have a ramp up timer (5 mins at 4.2 pressure) and the air pressure feels significantly stronger from the old machine where it feels uncomfortable. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
I'm really thinking of sending this one back and just keeping my old one or asking if I can get the 11 instead.

I had to return a brand new A 10 because it was loud also. My DME said it happens your not the first.

Might need to request a replacement. Per most commentary I've read here, the 11 is not a better machine, other than for Resmed's bottom line.
