APAP->Bi-level Titrating - sleepymf - 01-04-2024 Original home sleep study got diagnosed Moderate OSA with 5 AHI and 20 RDI (mostly happening in REM) Got started on Apap 2 months ago but results with it was still poor sleep and ended up stop using it. Reading up on UARS and flow limits ended up buying Aircurve10 VAUTO but still feeling symptoms, although not as bad as with Apap. Thinking I should raise PS but start to see a lot more centrals. Any input on chart would be appreciated. RE: APAP->Bi-level Titrating - PeaceLoveAndPizza - 01-04-2024 Going forward for things related to treatment be sure to use this thread so we can keep all information in the same place. Makes it easier for everyone as we try to help. I suggest going back to the beginning and using a baseline configuration. Try the following: min EPAP 5 max IPAP 15 PS 4 Trigger high These will give us an idea of what is going on. Try it for a few days and post some charts. RE: APAP->Bi-level Titrating - srwilsn3 - 01-04-2024 Just replying to let you know that I started in a similar position, both in terms of diagnosis indices and an APAP prescription. Switching to a BiLevel and getting the advice here is helping a lot. Good luck! RE: APAP->Bi-level Titrating - sleepymf - 01-08-2024 Charts for the past 3 nights trying settings PLAP suggested, how do they look? Still not feeling fully rested and quite tired throughout day. RE: APAP->Bi-level Titrating - sleepymf - 01-08-2024 One other thing I noticed these back to back weird events in my chart and curious what I'm even looking at or if I should mess with a certain setting to avoid this as they've shown up quite a bit just like this the past nights. RE: APAP->Bi-level Titrating - PeaceLoveAndPizza - 01-08-2024 As you were adjusting to the new setup, things got much better by the third night. Keep going and let us know how you feel. Those events you pointed out look to be positional apnoea’s. Consider a flatter pillow and/or a soft cervical collar. https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php?title=Optimizing_therapy#Positional_Apnea RE: APAP->Bi-level Titrating - Gideon - 01-08-2024 Those are triggered by arousals, I'd ignore all of them. Based on the clustering they look like positional but they were preceded by arousals. See how the preceding event is an Arrousal? I'd ignore any events until you see a normal breathing rhythm is reestablished. Restless Sleep w/BiPAP - sleepymf - 03-11-2024 At this point I feel like id sleep better without PAP as every morning now I seem to wake up feeling worse and its quite frustrating because I've been using it consistently for months now and still not helping. Attached are past nights and would love if anyone could give insight on why I'm seeming to get these constant arousals like are they reras or something else? I also use a c collar and a device to keep me off my back as well. I've also been using a camera and every arousal is associated with movement whether it be turning over or my feet kicking.
