Use a full face mask (F20) with the foam edge. Works well. I get monthly reminders to replace it BUT when I compare it to a new one it is identical in every way (still). SO is it really necessary or just designed to make someone money? How long can I realistically/reasonably use a FF mask before I should pitch it?

Designed to make money for the sleep docs, sleep centers, and sleep equipment companies. Replace your mask and other gear when you think it needs to be replaced. Recommended equipment replacement schedules are rarely for your benefit.
