SD Formatting and OSCAR not working - smallhandsfeeding - 02-02-2024

Hi, I'm very new to all of this, although I've been using a PAP for maybe 10 months now? I recently bought a Respironics Dreamstation AutoBIPAP from a friend (it's not part of the recall, and only had 4 days use on it) on a hunch that the Resmed 11 I got from a provider was too forceful and the EPR wasn't providing enough relief. I haven't told my provider about this yet and I guess I went this route cause my friend gave me a good deal on the machine (they're not cheap and I'm still paying off the Resmed one) and I find my provider really really slow to respond to things and/or the changes they make seem so incremental and nothing has helped so far. I have mild apnea, but now finding it hard NOT to sleep with a machine (which I did for a while) cause the apneas were constantly waking me up. I'm tired of being tired

Anyway, this leads me to OSCAR. The first few nights I just used the BiPAP auto function, and even though it was miles better to sleep with (i.e. I could actually breathe better the next day upon waking, which never happened with the Resmed machine), I found that it was levelling me out at 8.5 IPAP and EPAP. I wanted to try an even lower EPAP setting, but have no control over this with the auto setting. So I tried setting the bilevel myself at IPAP 8.5 and EPAP 6, and I feel even better this morning?! Yay! However, I realize that I need to see what's happening at night to find the best setting for myself.

So I popped an SD card into the drive for the past couple nights, FINALLY figured out how to get OSCAR to open on OS Ventura and, low and behold, OSCAR is repeatedly telling me it cannot find any info on the card, specifically no OSCAR files? Do I need to format this card differently? It's currently FAT32. I can open the SD card on my computer and I can see new files in there that I've never seen before, so I'm pretty sure the Dreamstation is writing to it, but why can't OSCAR read the files?

Fat32 is the right format. In OSCAR, Did you create a new profile for yourself first before trying to import?

Hi, I did now and it's working. That was not clear when I first opened the program, it simply got stuck in this cycle of asking me to specify a file location but then would not be able to read the card when I specified. Thanks.
