Apnea Mouth Guard - newtothis1 - 02-04-2024

Is it ok for the dentist who makes the mouth guard to be old? I am worried if his hand shakes he would not do a good job...

Are you thinking like a splint to keep you from grinding your teeth? They make a mold. Usually the tech does it. These days some can even be adjusted AFTER they're made.

I would guess, if it doesn't fit right, you ask for a do-over.

At any rate, I would be more worried about a dentist with a tremor giving me a root canal or drilling a cavity than fitting a splint.

not for teeth grinding. For sleep apnea

I had a dental device made by my dentist.  The process to make the mold for the appliance did not require a steady handed young person to complete.  Unfortunately device was hard plastic causing it to be too irritating for use.
