ResMed AirCurve 11 announced - PeaceLoveAndPizza - 02-13-2024

ResMed just announced the availability of the AirCurve 11 bilevel machine. I am not sure if it is acceptable to post the link, but you can find more information on their website.

It's a manufacturer's website, so it is permissible

So it looks like it’s got same design as AirSense 11.. so is this going to use same motor as AirMini as well? No mention of any new technology either. I was actually thinking when will we get proper AI in our devices but looks like ResMed is happy with repackaging their old software.

RE: ResMed AirCurve 11 announced - zaienk - 02-14-2024

bad news that they use the same design. I found the Airsense 11 with the humidier makes more noise than the Aircurve 10, even if I use air plug...
As the Aircurve 10 shares the same hardware that Airsense 10, the Aircurve 11 Vauto or ASV will logically share the same hardware than the Airsense 11 and makes more noise than the Aircurve 10.

Changes to form-factor is easy, and the trend is smaller and cheaper. Changes to the therapy algorithm are not likely since they need to be demonstrated in medical trials and approved by FDA. Very expensive for small returns. I got my Aircurve 10 last summer, so won't be looking for a replacement soon. I really prefer the 10 series for its outlet configuration, larger motor and quiet operation.

From the combined product guide: "These new devices combine the trusted algorithms of AirCurve 10 with ResMed Air11 features."

I would not want it either.  I love my AirCurve 10 and pray they keep making it alongside the 11.  Who wants a smaller motor that makes more noise?    Nonosign

I was talking to my DME today and he wasn't sure whether or not it would use the same smaller motor since the there isn't a travel sized bi-level/asv.  I am not too picky about the noise as I find my Aircurve 10 very quiet already and don't mind a little white noise while trying to sleep.

I'm quite happy with my AirCurve 10 ASV. When it's time to replace it, I'll probably be happy with the AirCurve 11, as long if it is just as quiet.

I am not certain I'd like this 11 series. Regardless, here's my take on the next generation 12 series. Coffee
