Hello,

I have been on BiPAP for over 20 years.  Decided to replace my 16 year old (pre-merger) Respironics Model M with a new machine.  On NP advice and lurking this forum, I settled on ResMed 10 vAuto.  I bought it new without going through insurance for $1,200 with no 3G (Card to Cloud).  I am not a fan of "compliance checks".

I do want to send my data to my clinic periodically so they can chart it.

Can I:
  • just copy the files off of the card and send them to the clinic?
  • use Oscar to create some kind of standard format the clinic is likely to understand?
I would like to get the forum's thoughts before I try to talk to them.  So far, other than my NP, the staff has not really understood my wishes.

ALSO:

I do not use a humidifier.  I bought the plug to put in when not using it.  The manual says to remove the humidifier when traveling, should I remove the plug when traveling, or is it safe to travel with it installed?

(I have attached some old BiPAP P0rn...  Not related to the question.)

I had that Respironics device, and moved away from Philips Respironics almost 10 years ago. Some clinics can read your SD card from your Resmed device, or you can use OSCAR, or even the Resmed ResScan program available on this forum (Private Files). All of this is free on Apnea Board.
