I AM GOING BATTY PLEASE HELP ME MAKE SENSE OF THIS - Plmnb - 03-07-2024

I don’t know if this will make ANY sense at all but here goes:

So, I posted about the binary data import in another thread here and came to the conclusion my issues were due to just not using the Wellvue O2 ring with OSCAR for so long and that I had just been messing up with the instructions and once I did what I always used to do (change the last part of the file name to match the start time) the imports worked.  At first anyway, that one time.

This morning though I shared my binary file to my desktop, read the start time of my therapy from OSCAR (00:23:57) and changed the last part of the binary file name to match). I then proceeded to do the import.  It did not work.  I tried three times.

I deleted the binary file and shared it again to my desktop and left the file name in its original name.  I was able to now successfully import the file into OSCAR.

NOW THE CRAZIEST PART and now I realize this is what happened the other day as well:

I looked back at the start time listed in OSCAR and I swear to g.d and without me touching a thing it miraculously listed the start time as 22:32:12.  Then I looked away to type this post and looked back at OSCAR to check the start time again and now it has changed to 23:34:12 !!

IN ADDITION EVERY TIME THE OSCAR START TIME CHANGES THE ENTIRE BINARY FILE NAME AUTOMATICALLY CHANGES TO MATCH NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE ON MY DESKTOP, LIKE IN THE TRASH.
ALSO I HAVE BEEN MAKING DUPLICATES OF THE BINARY FILES IMMEDIATELY AFTER GETTING THEM ONTO MY DESKTOP AND EVEN THE DUPLICATE FILE NAMES CHANGE!

I think I have gone batty.

That sounds very odd and frustrating.  I've had the times be wrong on my wellue o2 ring twice and just changing the filename numbers to the right start time has always fixed it for me. I have not experienced the issue you describe.

The only scenario that comes to mind is if the time adjustment occurs at midnight.  If the CPAP was started just prior to midnight (23:59:30 for example)  and the oximeter records a 00:00:45 starting time, then in addition to changing the oximeter's file's time, you will need to modify the date, too.  Otherwise, it will be on the following day's CPAP data.
Example:
CPAP starting time: 03/09/2024 23:59:30
Oximeter's initial filename: 20240310000045 → needs to be changed to 20240309235930
