on some polygraphy-devices the patient can press symbols during the recording.
for instance to communicate dizziness to the doctor.

similar to that, one could press a button on a gamepad (joystick/keyborard input)
when he wakes up from an event.

how could oscar be extended with such ?

Oscar is not running on your CPAP while you are asleep. Hence, your suggestion is not feasible. Although, I am not an OSCAR developer.

an import feature for such patient interaction flags (dizzyness..)
and supportive manual event flags as csv, would do, too.

for recording them, i imagine running a bedside laptop (external software, then)
or plugging the pad into a diy-oximeter.
