OSCAR Technology - Install & Data Aquisition Details - EasySleep - 03-18-2024 As a preview, to see where I'm coming from -- Looks like Contec oximeters use serial COM connectivity, not USB? They also use a special cable driver in their software, and also, their software uses the MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ 2005 Redistributable RUNTIME, (which has stopped working for me since a few years ago). I wish I could make that software install and run, because Contec oximeters are so much cheaper than other brands... Before I buy an other brand, I need to know: 1__What connectivity (cable type, other?) Oscar works with when running it on a PC, and does it run on the MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ 2005 Redistributable RUNTIME framework on a Windows PC? 2__Can you just read your O2 levels on Oscar, without having to also upload your CPAP data card? 3__Do you have a list of oximeters that can upload stored O2 data to Oscar, in addition to the Wellue/Viatom products? RE: OSCAR Technology - Install & Data Aquisition Details - EasySleep - 03-18-2024 Bump? Trying to get this thread listed in the forum so it can be replied to... I'm in a quandary to find an oximeter that is easy to install on a PC, is compatible with Oscar, and... is affordable... Thank you RE: OSCAR Technology - Install & Data Aquisition Details - Crimson Nape - 03-18-2024 Try the Apnea Board Wiki: https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php/OSCAR_supported_machines#Pulse_Oximeters - Red RE: OSCAR Technology - Install & Data Aquisition Details - EasySleep - 03-18-2024 Thanks for the Wiki link, I was glad to see that Oscar can read data from Contec models, but except for 1 hard to find model, the data must first be compiled externally into a SPO2 file for Oscar to see it, and that is done using the Smart Device Assistant software that I have trouble with, as it uses the MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ 2005 Redistributable RUNTIME. Is there anyone who can help me with this? I'm using Windows 10 |
