Cannot run Oscar on Mac Studio w/Sonoma 14.4 - Morseman - 03-25-2024

After not using OSCAR for several weeks, I inserted my SD card in my Mac Studio and tried to run Oscar.  It seemed to start, but hung up on "Loading profile 'Bob' ".  I got the spinning beach ball and ultimately a message "Non-responsive application - Quit OSCAR."

After several tries, I ejected my SD card and un-installed OSCAR.  I installed OSCAR version 1.5.2 and got the same result.  The "OSCAR_Data" folder in my Documents folder seems OK.

Again, I'm using a Mac Studio running Sonoma 14.4.  Any suggestions?

The macOS is notorious of setting up new security rules after an update. Make sure that your OSCAR_Data folder has read-write permissions for everyone.

Thanks, I'll check that.

FWIW...
I am running OSCAR v1.5.2 on Sonoma 14.4.1 on my MBP M1 Max, 32 GB / 1TB - no problems so far.
Everything loaded fine and just doing the normal CTRL + Open for the first time to get past security, smooth sailing after that.

I checked my data folder (lock status, permissions, etc) and all seemed OK.  I once again re-loaded OSCAR, but had the same issue - OSCAR would hang up as it tried to load my profile.

I used a Time Machine backup from a month ago to try to restore the data folder.  Then when I ran OSCAR, I got a message of "No profile."  I added a new profile, then inserted the SD card from my CPAP, imported data, and all my data from the last year seemed to be there.

So all is well.

Thanks
