nore cpap is working, again ? - Jst617 - 03-31-2024

Been a while since I last posted, but for the past several weeks, I am not certain my cpap is working correctly. I can view the data in OSCAR, not sure what I am looking at, how do I post my oscar data, and what specifically do I post?

Your Cpap seems to be working fine.  What is it that makes you feel it's not working?

One thing, you show a high amount of flow limitations which causes your pressure to rise to the max.  This can be very disruptive to sleep.

Since you're already using EPR 2, move it to 3.  Let's see if that helps.

Also, you need a bit higher minimum pressure to allow EPR to work.  Set it to 7cm. for now.  You may need to go higher, but give this a day or two.

Thanks, I'm not sure its working, as I get very tired during the day, usually needing a mid morning nap and one in the afternoon.....could flow restrictions be caused by a pincked or kinked tube?

If your tube gets kinked in any way, I suppose that could be an issue.  How do you have the tube routed?

I often notice that with very high leaks, FL follows, but I don't see that your leak rate is a problem.

I believe the real problem causing your tiredness is the high Flow Limitation which disrupts sleep.  What causes FL is very individual.  Do you have any issues breathing in and out from your nose?

Make the adjustments stated above and give the machine a chance to work.
