What's important in OSCAR? - ratfancy - 05-12-2024

I downloaded my data in OSCAR.  Which columns give me the best information as to how I am sleeping?  E.g., I wake up multiple times per night so my deep sleep is probably not much.  I get out of bed, maybe 4 times.  How is this reflected - which column?
Also, when I wash my hose, I take off the autostop and humidity and run the machine for an hour or two to dry the hose.  How would I determine which hours I'm sleeping and which I'm drying the hose?  Thanks for your help!

you should see that you take the mask off when the pressure chart and flow rate chart in the daily view just stops and there is a big gap in the data if you had smartstop on. And you will probably see a large leak when you're drying the hose, the LL events in the event flags chart.

I'd recommend the oscar guide from the wiki to help understand the charts https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php?title=OSCAR_Help

But generally the daily view has all the useful charts at the top.
- event flag shows if the machine found apneas, leaks,...
- flow rate, shows breathing patterns. that's what the machine mostly uses to find apneas. you can see if you stopped breathing etc..
- pressure, useful if you're in apap mode and the machine adjusts the pressure automatically to see what the machine actually did.
- leak rate, is the mask (and therefore therapy) working properly?
- flow limits, was your airway restricted ? 0.5 being 50% restriction as far as i know.
- snore self explanatory, shouldn't be snoring much if the therapy is working.

and if you want to post data on the forum please follow https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php?title=OSCAR_Chart_Organization which all the important data.
