OSCAR and Font Problems - cpapuser20 - 05-27-2024

Hi. I upgraded to v1.5.3 to gain compatibility with new S11 machine. Made a new profile for the S11 and SD card data was read and displayed correctly. Then tried the previous S9 profile and the software said it had to reformat the old S9 data so I agreed. But when I looked at the graphs with the S9 profile, the legends beside all the axes are unreadable. I switched back to the S11 profile and these axes are now corrupted also.

I am attempting to show a screenshot but not sure if I can figure out how to insert...

This problem seems like maybe I'v lost a font style that is required to display axes text? Please help. Thank you.

Hi cpapuser20!  - Welcome
I have split your post into its own thread, so readers will see it as a problem and not a version upgrade announcement. At the same time, I have renamed the thread title to, "OSCAR and Font Problems".  This provides a more descriptive title of your problem.

Look in the File > Preferences > Appearance > Fonts section to see if they appear properly set.  If that fails, you can always try rebuilding your CPAP data (Data > Rebuild CPAP Data > "CPAP-Model").

Thank you for fixing my post into its own thread... I hope my issue is relevant to others. I shall try your suggestion!

Is this supposed to be this way or can I just change everything to Arial? How did the shell dig 2 get there? Something I did?

RE: OSCAR and Font Problems - Crimson Nape - 05-27-2024

You can change it to almost any font.  OSCAR tries to use a font that is common to the O/S it is installed on.  I don't currently have any Windows computer running, but the MS Shell Dlg 2 seems like one of its system fonts.  I think I set my Windows version to use Arial Narrow, so I could accommodate more information on the screen.  The nice thing is, if you don't like it, you can always change it.

This is what I use and works well for me on Asus ZenBook.
