Cant get it right! Please help - Geronimo - 05-28-2024

Hi everyone,

I would be grateful for some help as I am not getting quality sleep!

Almost a decade ago (!) I started CPAP but couldn't get used to using it (and I was not happy about having too use CPAP) and it ended up on the shelf until a few months ago after I started developing an 'unexplained' headache that just wouldn't go away. I had an MRI scan done, all good (thankfully) and decided to do a sleep study which revealed an AHI of 35. This caused me to rethink CPAP, and since a few months, I have started CPAP again

The problem is it is just not working for me. I managed to get quite a few nights over 4 hours and less than 5 incidents p/h but then all went south again. I seem to rip the mask of during the night and in the morning it is either besides me, on the floor or I am lying on it.  I am using the same mask which is the Resmed P10 as I don't seem to tolerate anything else. I have tried all sorts of masks but get claustrophobic. My sleeps feel very restless and I feel I am at a dead end. I had such a good run and then it just stopped. What can I do?

Thank you for reading!

Welcome to the board. We need data to really help. We get our data from OSCAR a totally free for download and use. It is on the top of the site. You will need a SD card in the machine while you sleep. Any card of 32 GB or less. You can get one at Walmart, target, Amazon

Welcome

Stacey gave you good advice.  Oscar will help us help you, and we will be able to help you once we see a chart.  Don't be discouraged.  Lots of people find pap use difficult to get accustomed to.  Don't give up though.  It is so worth it!  Smile

Stacey and Deborah are both spot on! Please post a daily chart once you've got data to upload for us Smile

Geronimo,
Pleae follow these links in my Signature line to guide you.

First, organize chart off the daily page.  To start, we want to see these graphs:  Events, Flow Rate, Pressure, Leak Rate, and Flow Limitation.  Always include the entire left sidebar (minus the calendar and pie chart).

Once organized, use the Attachment Feature to upload 2 or 3 charts here.

Ok, here are 3 screenshots. Weirdly, these 3 show no graphs (no data available for graphs, however when I go to previous days before these it does show the data which is a bit pointless because they happen to be the better nights....I hope this helps?

RE: Cant get it right! Please help - Narcil - 05-29-2024

somehow you dragged the left column over the entire screen, the graphs are hidden on the right.

you need to drag out the separation (its a white space..) currently on the right side to the left. the mouse pointer will change to a column resize thing.

i can't seem to find a button to reset the view. f8 will hide the left column and show the graphs but really you need to show us both!
