New User Need Help Please! - maxsurfing77 - 06-03-2024 Hello All, I am starting this post to hopefully get some help from people who know how to interpret OSCAR data. First I want to apologize from my lack of understanding on a-lot of the technical aspects of sleep apnea treatment and general courtesy of this board and how things work. I don't know where else to turn for help because my doctor has been very slow to respond and I am dealing with alot of fatigue, visual strain, and light dizziness. I really appreciate anyone who takes the time to help. In summary, a year ago i took a Lofta sleep test that said AHI 10.4 and RDI 20.1. Tried cpap for a while but had such an issue with nasal breathing and could not tolerate a mouth mask so i stopped. a few months back i have deviated septum and turbinate reduction which has helped a little bit with nasal breathing. I also talked to my doctor about using a bipap (to help me with the exhale through the nose which was my problem before) After a sh**ty night of sleep in a sleep lab for titration, I am using a bi-pap machine set at 11/6 and have been trying to use it for the past two weeks. It hasnt been an easy adjustment but I am finally able to fall asleep with the machine and sleep for a few hours, usually 4 hours, until I wake up usually to use the bathroom and just find that It is not comfortable to wear the rest of the night. Last night, I woke up basically gasping for air, and tried taking big breaths in through the nose with the air pilows, and just couldnt catch up, so I ended up taking the mask off and sleeping without it the rest of the night. I have gathered through reading online that using OSCAR for data is the best way to see whats going on under the hood, but I have no frickin clue what I am looking at. What i think i see is a cluster of apneas later on in the night, which doesnt look great to me. Is anyone able to look at this and give me any sort of idea? I also have been dealing with aephogia but it has been getting a little bit better the past few days. So let me give you a set up that I think will help. VAUTO Needs to be set for pap mode PS 4 min 4 max 11 Give those setting a try. |
