Here are my results, struggling for 10+ years. UARS? - Air007 - 06-10-2024 Hello fellow members, I've been struggling with apnea-like symptoms for over 10 years and visited countless pulmonologists and sleep specialists to no avail. I found out about UARS a while ago thanks to browsing this forum. In my country none of the doctors know about UARS, they purely look at AHI and if that's negative, well... then it must be psychological! I'll add the result of each sleep study done since 2019 in seperate replies to this post, as jpeg's and PDF. Some of the comments on the reports are in Dutch, i'll add a translation later on. I would love to hear from you if the results are in anyway indicative of UARS. I'm at my wits' end. Thank you. UARS? - Expat31 - 06-26-2024 You have had numerous PSGs, the latest indicated negligable sleep apnea results, and normal 02 saturation levels, with a low desaturation index of 0.9/hr We can help with therapy data produced by CPAP devices to improve quality of sleep. If you read through many of our members posts, you will understand what we work with. It appears there is no evidence from the data you have sent to indicate what is causing your poor sleep quality. Concerning UARS, this is a specialist medical area as indicated below:- https://youtu.be/sa9zNYpTWlM?si=_uTWzbDuqPBySkPL You may, or may not have UARS, it could equally be micro awakenings, (also known as arousals) that altbough at a low level, your may be very sensitive to. Did you go through in detail with your doctor on the detailed contents of the in lab PSG soliciting explanations of possible causes? The "home tests" are not really PSGs, they are usually a much abbreviated version of the full "in-lab" , PSG. If you were intestered in obtaining CPAP machine, and extracting its data into OSCAR, we may be able to help. Unfortunately with your negligible apnea index, it mqy be unkely you would qualify for a health service machine, but talk to your general practitioner to see what options are open to you. Good luck in your researches. Further general UARS information here |
