Lowenstein prisma 20A - Moose Mann - 06-16-2024
My Prisma 20A fills my bedroom with a chemical smelling odor. It is very strong, unpleasant, and probably not healthy. It has 400 hours on it and started producing the odor about 200 hours ago and has been increasing in concentration. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Are the filters correctly aligned the right way? I think the white one goes in first then the black, are you replacing/washing the filters?

Filters are new and placed correctly. Only distilled water is used and has never run dry.

What mask is it? Is the hose set to the right diameter? It doesn't come set when you first get it, and you need to change it to 15mm which is what most companies are using now. It comes set at 19-22mm

Are you saying that the heated hose that comes with the machine needs the 15mm hose setting? I was unaware of that.

I do not use the heated hose. I use a 19mm and it is set correctly in the machine. The mask I use is a wisp nasal.

Yes Murray those two heated hoses you have are 15mm. You need to change that in the settings. When it comes new from the factory they have it set at 19-22mm.
