Airmini and Airsense 11 - Not so tired anymore - 07-16-2024 I have been using my Airsense 11 for about 1 1/2 years and it works well for me. I just got an Airmini for travel and I have it set with exactly the same settings as my Airsense 11 and my AHI is much worse on the Airmini at 5.0 the and averages about 1-2 on my Airsense 11. The only thing I see seems to be mask fit. I use the F&P full face Vitera on my Airsense 11 and using the F20 full face on the mini. I need the Humidex so I can't get an adapter and use the F&P mask on the mini. The F20 mask leaks a bit where it meets around my cheeks. I have a liner on it and it has helped . The mini says my mask seal is good. Not sure what to try next. Any suggestions. Thanks, Scott RE: Airmini and Airsense 11 - Phaleronic - 07-16-2024 What are the settings (pressure/epr/ramp)? What is a humidex? RE: Airmini and Airsense 11 - Narcil - 07-17-2024 (07-16-2024, 11:16 PM)Phaleronic Wrote: What is a humidex? it's the passive humidifier for the airmini. My settings are the same on both machines Auto with the low pressure at 5 and the high pressure at 12, EPR at 1 and ramp- off. Also I looked at my mask leakage and it is 15/20. I can't figure out where to see the actual leakage in the Airmini app. RE: Airmini and Airsense 11 - Narcil - 07-17-2024 [Moderator Action: DME Link Removed] Wait what? how can [DME Link Removed] Supplier #43 be a DME link, it's even on the supplier list. -----

RE: Airmini and Airsense 11 - Not so tired anymore - 07-18-2024 I resolved my mask leak issue, it is now 20/20 on my Airmini app. My AHI is still not as good as it is on my Airsense 11. AHI on the Airmini is 4.0 and averages under 2.0 on my Airsense 11. Does the Airmini require slightly higher pressure to overcome the resistance to airflow from the Humidex? RE: Airmini and Airsense 11 - cdplatt - 07-19-2024 Are you still using the F&P mask with your Airsense 11? If so, you might try using the F20 instead and see what settings work best on the Airsense 11 - then try them on the AirMini. I make a point of using the same mask on my AirMini that I use with my Airsense 10. I usually get similar results though AirMini, Humidex combination is a different breathing experience - and louder. I have to use earplugs to sleep as well. RE: Airmini and Airsense 11 - Not so tired anymore - 07-19-2024 (07-19-2024, 08:52 AM)cdplatt Wrote: Are you still using the F&P mask with your Airsense 11? I will need a different fitting and hose to fit my Airsense 11, the mini has an odd hose connection. It also would be easier not to keep track of 2 different sets of consumable mask parts. Humidex is like a sponge disk thing that saves your exhaled breath moisture and uses that to humidify the air because the mini is too tiny to have a water tank. It fits in a clear plastic junction joint where the Mini hose connects on one side and the mask hose on the other and the disk is in a chamber between the two. I passed on a Mini because while it might be great while flying the humidity might be too scant in a hotel where most of the vacation is spent. And CPAP is allowed on the two airlines I fly trans-Pacific. RE: Airmini and Airsense 11 - Not so tired anymore - 07-24-2024 I tried the F20 mask from my Airmini on my Airsense 11. The first data from Monday night is using my regular F&P Vitera mask on the Airsense 11 with climate to auto. The second data from Tuesday is using the F20 mask with the Humidex and climate off. The F20 gave me a pretty terrible nights sleep and I woke up thirsty many times. It seems like the Humidex may have worked better on the Airmini. Any Ideas on how I can get better results with the F20? Missed one attachment: Monday night F&P Vitera Mask |
