Comments on my therapy - jasondega - 07-24-2024 Hi everyone, I'm a long time lurker. I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apena AHI 26 in 2020 and used an Airsense 10 autoset that was set from 4-20 with a Dreamwear full face mask. I was never given any real coaching or help to fine tune my therapy, so I used the CPAP sporadically until it was knocked off my knight stand and damaged. I've lost a significant amount of weight since 2020, so I did a new at home sleep study with the Watchpat One and still have moderate sleep apena with an AHI of 15 this time. I received a new Airsense 11 Autoset. I had the same experience with the sleep coach from my DME provider, they basically just set me up with a fullface mask and had the machine set from 4-20. After watching a lot of videos on Youtube, I switched to the Dreamwear nasal cushion mask and it's far more comfortable. I also adjusted my pressure to 9-15 and turned off the ramp because when the ramp was on I felt like I didn't get enough air. This has been a huge change for me and i'm tolerating the CPAP better than anytime in the past. So far my AHI looks much better, but I'd love some comments to see if there are other adjustments I could make to optimize my therapy. I'm using SleepHQ to track my data because I travel a lot and I can upload the data from my phone with a small adapter. https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_links/4a52e44d-adc7-476d-be9e-255373e7add6 RE: Comments on my therapy - HalfAsleep - 07-24-2024 Use Oscar to analyze your data. Instrux are in the menu ^^^. You'll want to take screen shots of your charts exact to the instructions and post a couple of nights here. I have Oscar, and can certainly put my data in it, but it requires screenshots and really feels a bit dated. It's an amazing utility but I do wish it were more of a web app that allowed easier sharing of data. I'll upload into oscar tonight. RE: Comments on my therapy - jasondega - 07-25-2024 Thanks the link I posted was from SleepHQ that’s what I’m using. RE: Comments on my therapy - Phaleronic - 07-25-2024 Whoops I missed the link, I have a sleephq account so I can read it, therapy looks good, how do you feel? RE: Comments on my therapy - HalfAsleep - 07-26-2024 Hey, @jasondega… I’m not sure why you’d want to bite the hand that feeds you by calling the most current xPAP data reader “dated”. This board is a forum provided by the coders for Oscar. So, there’s that. And, you weren’t aware that other developers “borrowed” the Oscar code? And SleepHQ doesn’t seem like a very useful app if it doesn’t offer the help you (and many others) are looking for. At a price, too. For me, I’m much happier that sleep data gets stored off the cloud on hard disk than hackable and floating freely out there somewhere. Sometimes, “dated” is right on target about the dangers of modern sharing apps, as well as other things. And I like that the Oscar app is available at no cost, and there are plenty of volunteers spending time to give users specific and personal advice. Very rare. A general note: Expecting help from others, but requiring helpers to be flexible while being inflexible yourself…I’m not sure why an intelligent person would be eager to assist on those terms. RE: Comments on my therapy - jasondega - 07-30-2024 IHi @halfasleep there’s a whole lot inference there and you certainly stretched my commments much farther than what I actually said. I appreciate Oscar but I do feel it’s interface is dated compared to modern apps. Especially having to take screen shots vs an easy export or sharing link. That’s just valid ux feedback. That said, I’m also not inflexible. I have Oscar and am just currently battling with how to get my screen ahíta shots to show useful data. At the moment Oscar doesn’t have my o2 ring data, as soon as I figure out how to do that I’ll post from Oscar. Thanks! My ahí is great but my O2 keeps dropping and I’m still having daytime sleepiness. I’ve increased my min pressure to 10 and reduced the EPr to 2. I’m going to see if that helps. RE: Comments on my therapy - Sleeptechmaster - 07-31-2024 It looks like you are having a lot of minor obstructed breathing, reras and hypopneas that the machine is not responding to well. Make sure you change the mask type in your machine to nasal. I would do minimum pressure of 12 and the ramp set at 9. Your oxygen is not stable.
