How to reduce my events? - slipperslacroix - 07-27-2024 Ive been using my CPAP machine since beginning of May this year and have been avergaing 2/3 events per night. My initial sleep study showed about 7.5 events/hr. When i met with my dr last month i told her about this, and we swapped out my mask, which helped a bit with leak rate, but im still struggling with these events, and still find myself fatigued during the day. Any suggestions on setting changes to help me improve? Thanks RE: How to reduce my events? - G. Szabo - 07-27-2024 You should include the pressure curve on your chart. See Wikipedia for how to organize it. Until then, I suggest using EPR = 3 full-time, no ramp, and an increased humidity setting. Try to lean side sleeping with a proper CPAP pillow because of your FF mask. RE: How to reduce my events? - slipperslacroix - 07-27-2024 attached is a different screenshot, is that what you are referring to? RE: How to reduce my events? - staceyburke - 07-27-2024 With your settings you are not using EPR at all. You have it set for ramp only. I would suggest the following settings. Min 10 max 20 EPR FILL TIME. EPR 3 RE: How to reduce my events? - slipperslacroix - 07-27-2024 I made these adjustments, thanks for the assistance. RE: How to reduce my events? - Phaleronic - 07-27-2024 Keep your EPR on 2 but set it to fulltime as the other poster noted, but lower your max pressure to 14.4cm (this will prevent runaway pressure and blowouts)-a narrower band of pressure is almost always more efficacious than being set wide open (20cm). |
