crc's on sd-card (resmed) - capman - 08-06-2024

on resmed devices i found 4 and 8 bit crc's.

the 4 bit ones are crc32, little endian
(do crc32 on linux shell and read pairwise from the back).

what about the 8 bit ones ?

(according to wikipedia crc isn't designed to avoid tempering
but to detect data failures, which also could make it necessary
to restore them by recalculating. just saying).
