Portable Option - BiPap? - MrIvanDrago - 08-09-2024 Hi All, I am looking for a portable option for the 2-3 day trips I take for work overnight about every other month. I have been using an Aircurve 10, with a PS set to 4.0. Wondering if getting a ResMed AirMini and using EPR 3 for a few days every other month would be ok? Or is there other options out there, if any? Any help would be great, thank you! RE: Portable Option - BiPap? - Phaleronic - 08-09-2024 What are your aircurve 10 settings? RE: Portable Option - BiPap? - bigguybri - 08-10-2024 16.0/12.0 PS 4.0 RE: Portable Option - BiPap? - dwedward - 08-10-2024 I have an AirCurve 11 at home. 14/5 is the setting. I use my AirMini on the road set to 19 with EPR of 3, and I get good sleep. I switched to the AirCurve mostly because it helps to reduce my flow limitations, and sometimes I need support up over 20. I don't get as good a therapy on the AirMini and obviously it maxes out at 20, but for the few nights per month I travel, it's good enough. Many don't like the AirMini, but it's much more compact than the AC11, and I try to travel light. RE: Portable Option - BiPap? - MrIvanDrago - 08-11-2024 Interesting. Thanks for the reply and this is what I was looking for. How loud is the ResMed Mini? Seems like a good travel option and for a few nights a month, would be a solid option. RE: Portable Option - BiPap? - bigguybri - 08-11-2024 Anyone know what I would need to use the F40 mask with the ResMed Mini? RE: Portable Option - BiPap? - dwedward - 08-12-2024 MrIvanDrago, I've heard the arguments in many posts about how loud the AirMini is. In my opinion and experience, sleeping in a hotel room is loud and disrupts my sleep more than the AirMini. I have a small BT speaker I bring with me on travel (I like to listen to music puttering around the room, and doubles as a speakerphone for conferences), and I have an app on my phone that creates white noise and plays on the speaker. So, I don't notice the hotel sounds, and the AirMini blends in... bigguybri, I also use the F40 and sometimes use the Evora full. Snugell makes an adapter for normal masks to AirMini. It seems to be the best I've found, others will sometimes leak. So far, the Snugell works pretty well. Of course, you lose the humidair puck, but I've found I don't really need it. I wish they had made the F40 hose the same as the N20 hose. It's close, but not quite... there are AirMini direct connects for the P10, N10, N20, F20/F30 but not yet the F40. |
