Adjusting settings: follow-up - arichman - 08-13-2024 Hi, I previously posted some OSCAR data with default machine settings and got some advice which I've since adjusted on my machine. I wanted to post some new data to see if you all have additional ideas. I was particularly exhausted this weekend (routinely falling asleep mid-day) but there have been some confounding variables. All data is with the advised adjusted settings from my original post. Thanks! RE: Adjusting settings: follow-up - Phaleronic - 08-13-2024 Hi arichman, I didn't see the initial post of yours, but with your OAs and spiking pressures please set max pressure to 15cm, min pressure to 10cm and EPR off, this should help clear up the OAs and eventually the CAs, but you may need constant pressure. Seeing as my new data has a couple spots where it maxed out I think I will try 15 though RE: Adjusting settings: follow-up - staceyburke - 08-13-2024 You are having positional apnea. You can see positional apnea where either H or Oa events (yours are O) are clustered together. Getting rid of as many as you can will lower your AHI. Positional apnea can NOT be controlled by pressure changes. You have to find out what position you are getting into and cutting off your own airway. Have you changed your sleep position? Sleeping on your back? Using more (or new) pillows? These things can cause positional apnea by chin dropping to your sternum and cutting your airway. Think of it of a kinked hose – nothing can get through – you have to unkink the hose… IF you can’t make a simple change like changing to a flatter pillow helps then you will need a collar.
