Scored well but still Sleepy - Zip Van Winkle - 08-31-2024 [attachment=69062]HI, everyone. I think I have good numbers here, but am still sleepy and cranky. If this were your chart, what would you try first? Thank you. RE: Scored well but still Sleepy - OpalRose - 09-01-2024 Your pressure does need some adjustment. I would raise my minimum pressure to 7cm with EPR set at 2. Cap off the maximum pressure at 12cm. The amount of Flow Limitation and leaks could be causing many arousals during the night. This doesn't make for a good nights sleep. Work on the leaks. You may be mouth breathing or your mouth/jaw falls open at night. I can't really tell as you didn't post a leak rate graph. When you repost, please follow this guidance for Organizing a chart. http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php?title=OSCAR_Chart_Organization Be sure to leave the Calendar and Pie Chart off the left sidebar. This frees up much information we need to see under device settings. RE: Scored well but still Sleepy - Zip Van Winkle - 09-01-2024 Thank you very much! I'll try these settings tonight. My leak is zero when I use a hybrid mask and it's like 20 when I use a nasal mask. The results here are around 20. RE: Scored well but still Sleepy - Deborah K. - 09-01-2024 If you otherwise like the nasal pillows you can tape your mouth as many of us do. With good tape, my leaks are usually 0, with poor tape they were often 50%, and with no tape, I don't even know how high they would be. For me good tape is 2-inch wide tape cut to about 5-1/2 inches long. Lots here like Cover Roll Stretch tape or Hypafix, both of which work very well. I prefer Theraband Kinesiology tape as I find it more comfortable, but it is more expensive. If you are happy with your hybrid mask, of course, stay with it. RE: Scored well but still Sleepy - Zip Van Winkle - 09-02-2024 Thanks I use cover-roll sometimes, I'll check out the one you use. At 6:53 am I switched from the Resmed N20 nasal mask to the Evora Full. Should I increase my pressure minimum from 7 to 8 and/or play with the EPR some more? Thank you. RE: Scored well but still Sleepy - Deborah K. - 09-02-2024 You should definitely raise your EPR to 3. Frankly, I don't think that will be enough. You probably need to swap out your machine for a ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto. This is a bi-level machine and has a lot more pressure support than an Autoset. Our flow limits were not nearly as bad as yours, but I convinced the doctor to prescribe the Vauto for my husband and me, and we are doing much better on the new machines. RE: Scored well but still Sleepy - Zip Van Winkle - 09-02-2024 Great advice thank you! I’ll try anything at this point. I’ve already had a UPPP surgery and septoplasty. RE: Scored well but still Sleepy - croc - 09-03-2024 Why is the flow limit chart capped between 0.0 and 0.1 - should it not show a scale from 0.0 to 1.0? I think that makes the FLs look worse than they really are. RE: Scored well but still Sleepy - Deborah K. - 09-03-2024 It's because the flow limits are exceptionally high, the highest I have ever seen. My guess is that the machine reported the real number, even though we've never seen that high before. RE: Scored well but still Sleepy - croc - 09-03-2024 Oh, wow! Thanks for the insight. Hope you'll find a solution! |
