ActiveAir vent - Brent1 - 09-07-2024

I use a P10 mask with the AirMini, which has the ActiveAir Vent module. I understand the vent module has a valve inside it. It appears to me this valve gets stuck quite a lot. Often the vent is noisy and expels a lot of air and I find it impossible to get a good mask seal reading because of the amount of air being expelled out the vent. At first I thought this was normal because I see others speak of the ActiveAir vent being noisy.

Occasionally, after using the mask for a short time I hear a thud, like the valve is becoming unstuck, and after that the vent is much quieter, especially when exhaling, and I can get a good mask seal reading.

I took my equipment into my Resmed owned supplier and demonstrated it. The supplier accepted the vent was faulty and gave me a new P10 mask system under warranty. I find the new system to have the same problem.

I am unable to find any informational in the AirMini or P10 manuals about cleaning the vent. I have started soaking it in warm water + detergent every day, and so far I think this is helping.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Does anyone have any suggestions?
