New user, 3 months in, doctor useless - niss9 - 10-22-2024 Hello everyone. I am new to this whole sleep apnea thing and i recently discovered OSCAR. I felt like i had to take matters in to my own hand since my doctor is completly useless. All he did was give me a machine and a mask after my sleep study. I had AHI of 59, pauses lasted between 10-20 sec. Oxygen level in blood was OK. Anyway. I am currently using nasal mask from resmed with mouth tape. After battling with finding a mask, this seems to be the best option so far. OSCAR seems to mostly place my AHI between 4-6. sometimes as low as 1-2 I guess i feel OK when i wake up? I can stay up the whole day without napping and i dont really feel tired. Main issue: Last 3 months i've had weird episodes of anxiety and i'm sometimes questioning myself if i'm close to some sort of depression. I have never experience this before. Never had problems with Anxiety or feeling depressed. This happends on and off. Some days are fine, some days are off. mostly in the evening i feel this. I question this might be because before CPAP, my brain might have been emotionally numb from lack of sleep. Just a theory Only other thing i can think of is that i had Corona 1 month before starting CPAP Has anyone ever experienced this before? OSCAR data Maybe there is something settings i can improve? You need to raise it to 7. Please turn ramp off. Try it without, as you get no therapy with ramp. If you still need it, change the pressure to 6 and run it for only 5 or ten minutes. These will help with your therapy and comfort. Good luck! |
