Remote Access to ResMed 11 - ziki - 10-26-2024 (I know this has been discussed and it's not easy, but maybe there are some new ways?) I would like to monitor a machine for someone elderly who lives far from me. Is there a way? She's currently visiting, so I have physical access to the machine. RE: Remote Access to ResMed 11 - Crimson Nape - 10-26-2024 Hi ziki! - My initial thought would be to use the EZ-share Wi-Fi SD card, and a computer with Wi-Fi capabilities near the CPAP. You would set the computer to connect to the SD card using one of the free scripts available. You will need to search for it. Using this app, the computer would be set to automatically execute this script and retrieve the SD card's data daily at a time when you know the patient is not using any further for that day. The data would be stored in a dedicated directory on the local computer. Now that you have the data stored on the host (local) computer, you can proceed a couple of different ways. Use an app like ssh and remote in to the host computer. This will require that you set up the host as an ssh server and know its external IP. Or, backup the data to a cloud account like Dropbox or Google Drive that you also share access to. If you are not computer savvy, using the cloud option would be more appealing, as it is much simpler. The cloud method requires less setup of local permissions. Also, if the host location does not use a static IP, it could be a real pain to obtain the new IP number. I hope this helps. - Red RE: Remote Access to ResMed 11 - ziki - 10-27-2024 Thanks!! I will try, although there is an additional hurdle that I need to overcome: No computer, only phone available. Looks like there is an Android app though. RE: Remote Access to ResMed 11 - ziki - 10-28-2024 It seems that I can also use MyAir for basic stats. RE: Remote Access to ResMed 11 - Crimson Nape - 10-28-2024 Yes, but it will not provide the detailed data needed to adjust the patient's therapy settings. - Red RE: Remote Access to ResMed 11 - ziki - 10-31-2024 Just to provide a conclusion here. I'm using https://myair.resmed.eu/dashboard to monitor the activity. It only provides stats like hours of usage, incidents per hour, mask seal. It's enough for me since I'm mostly concerned with compliance, so it was not worth figuring out a more involved solution. |
