Can't keep machine on and I move around a lot at night. - Taper212 - 10-26-2024

Hi, I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and started using a BiPAP machine. I experience many common symptoms, such as daytime fatigue, memory problems, brain fog, forward head posture, an overbite, and TMJ issues. Since getting the BiPAP, I haven’t been able to keep it on for more than 4 hours—and even reaching 4 hours is rare. Most nights, I only manage about 1.5 hours. I’ve tried mouth tape, a cervical collar, and nasal strips, but I often take them off without any memory of doing so. I also have a mouth guard for my TMJ, and I’ve noticed I remove that in my sleep as well. Additionally, I find myself drinking a lot of water during the night, again with no memory of doing it.

This brings me to my main question: do any of you experience moving around or doing various things in your sleep without remembering any of it? Also, anyone have advice in general?
