Flow rate analysis - jake79 - 11-12-2024
Hello, can someone look at my flow rate and let me know if this is pretty normal? I zoomed in on a portion that has no leaks or flow limits but it looks like I am holding my breath for like 3-4 seconds each breath? I'm not having any AHI issues just working on comfort at this point. Thanks in advance.

It is normal. Inhalation (above the line), followed by exhalation (below the line), then a 2-3 second pause before the next breath. The slight "ripples" may be either a slight vibratory snore or FOT. I see nothing to be concern with at the moment.

Awesome, thank you for that feedback! I think I might be finally coming to peace with this dang thing after almost a year haha...I guess it's also okay to have my inspiratory slightly longer than my expiratory?

While having I>E is not optimal, it is not a concern at the moment. It is likely resulting from flow limitations that are not long enough to trigger the counter, but not bad enough to warrant changes. If you look closely at your zoomed flow rate you can see the flat peaks and slight sculpting of the peaks.

Ok thanks. Yeah so I've had some flow limit issues of over .10 for quite some time (basically since I started) and then for no apparent reason the past 5 nights they have dropped to .05-.09. Wish I knew what the improvement was attributed to because before that I was trying to decide how much I wanted to chase the flow limit issue. I had even considered a BiPap to see if it would help but now that seems like a waste if I can keep it under control with my CPAP. There is someone on Reddit that sent me a Phillips Dreamstation 1 they remediated, cleaned and sanitized free of charge but my doctor wasn't too happy about all of that and doesn't want me using it...I'm supposed to be getting it today but I don't know if I will use it.
