Can't run OSCAR in macOS v15.1 - williamvv - 11-13-2024
OSCAR won't run in macOS v15.1. The error is:
“OSCAR.app” Not Opened
Apple could not verify “OSCAR.app” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.
The only two options are:
Done or Move to Trash
Any suggestions? Please?

Hello,
in macos 15.1 you have to do an additional step. After right clicking on the app in your Applications folder and selecting open, click cancel when it asks you to delete it.
Then, go to "Settings"-"Privacy & Security" and scroll all the way down to Security.
It should have an option there to open Oscar.

I couldn't find a way to open OSCAR under Security as mentioned.
But I did find a solution in another thread. I issued this command, and it worked:
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/OSCAR.app
