Help with optimizing therapy - GoingUp2JC - 11-15-2024 I'm about a 6 weeks in on therapy. I've posted a screenshot of my sleepHQ from last night. I also put two zoomed in screenshots. The forum is not letting me post a link to my chart. The first month or so, I was using 5-15 pressure, set by the sleep clinic. I was using full face masks. All the masks I tried gave me headaches and aggravating my TMJ pain. I was sleeping terribly and was desperately exhausted. I lowered my pressure 7-10, then 8-11 I think, somewhere around there. I tried EPR 3 for a few nights but it felt really weird, like it messed up my breathing, and I felt worse the days after, and also had more CA,so I put back on EPR 2. Putting the pressure in these narrower ranges helped somewhat but still exhausted. Still waking up frequently. About a week ago I changed to a nasal cushion. I noticed that in the mornings my machine was giving OA of 0, and lower pressures, so I lowered the pressure to 6-8.6. I have been sleeping much better with the nasal cushion and lower pressure. I'm not waking up as frequently. My question is, how does my chart look? Is there anything I need to do to optimize my pressures? I am still tired, but if my chart looks good, then maybe it takes a while to get energy again. P.S. I am using Cover Roll Stretch Tape. If I cover my mouth completely, I get chipmunk cheeks over and over again no matter if I put my tongue on the roof of my mouth. This wakes me up over and over. So I cut a little hole in the middle of the tape to let out a little air so that I can at least stay asleep. Please forgive any mistakes or obvious things I should be seeing. Trying to figure all of this out while being completely groggy and exhausted has been difficult. I am still learning how to read the charts and what everything means. RE: Help with optimizing therapy - staceyburke - 11-15-2024 Most of us have experience with OSCAR software that is completely free at the top of the site. If you use it and post the charts listed in my signature you will get help quickly. If not you will have to wait until someone familiar with sleepHQ to give you answers. |
