ResMed P10 vs. F&P Nova Micro Nasal Pillows - Deborah K. - 11-18-2024

I have happily been using my Bleep DreamPorts for ages, but now my skin is rebelling and reacting badly to the tape.  I have two small areas where the skin simply ripped off with the tape, leaving bright red, painful spots that have slowly healed, but which are now scars that I hope will disappear in time.

I dug out my old ResMed P30i pillows mask, which is okay but leaks and shifts around on my nostrils.  Because of the Bleep, I am used to minimal skin contact, which the P30i certainly does not provide.

So, I've been checking around and thought I would try the ResMed P10 or the new F&P Nova Micro pillows on my next pap supplies order. Have any of you used both?  They both get great reviews, and I'm leaning towards the Nova Micro.  I like the idea that these extend further into the nostrils, and it seems it would leak less than the pillows in the P10 or the P30i which tend to shift around.

Any comments?  Advice?  I'd love to hear from you.  Smile

Hello Deborah,

I am a recent convert to pillows masks. I tried the F&P Brevida and Resmed P10 masks. I prefer the P10 due to the stability of the nasal insertion pieces and how they support my collapsing nasal valves. The correct fit of the pillows is critical to prevent irritaton and/or leaking. Ordering a pillow fit-pack is very helpful. The headgear is simple but I found it slipped a bit on my fine hair. Solution: I put my hair in a loose ponytail just above where the strap should sit, and voila. This works when I lie down on my back, too. All in all, I find the P10 to be a straightforward, comfortable mask.

Best of luck to you. I'd like to try the Nova, too.
