Large Leaks and Hypopneas - austinweathers29 - 11-24-2024

Hi Everyone,

I would love some help figuring out why I can't stop my Large Leak issue and solve my hypopneas.

I have attached a picture from my OSCAR chart last night. Each night, since back on therapy, looks like a different variation of the chart attached.

Currently, I tape my mouth each night and ensure a snug mask fit before going to bed. I also do not wake up in the middle of the night to adjust. I have been confused by these charts.

Can anyone help with some pointers to improve the large leaks and/or the hypopneas? They clearly seem correlated as they are often one after the other.

Thanks!

Here are tips on mask leaks from our wiki:
  • 1Mask Primer
    • Mask leak solutions.                                                                                                                                                                               Hypopneas are usually solved by more pressure support.  You already have a high enough ps max though.
Your hypopneas cluster together at times, so if the mask primer doesn't work, then read this as well:
    •                    I had lots of hypopneas using asv without a collar.  Zero wearing a collar.

The ASV settings themselves are a bit lacking. The 4-6 EPAP is forcing you into an extra wide PS range of 4-20.

This is probably some of your leak issue.

You probably should redo Titration of EPAP 4-15, PS 3-15.
