Pressure Problem: Can Anyone Make Sense Of This, Please?? - channeal - 12-04-2024 Hello there! I have only really been using my machine since September. I noticed on Oscar that my pressure was often maxed out for much of the night, so I phoned my clinic (NHS as am in UK) yesterday. The girl said she was increasing my maximum pressure slightly from the 10 it was set at. Today though, I got this weird pressure graph on Oscar. Does anybody know what is going on, please? Thanks from Chris. [attachment=72618] RE: Pressure Problem: Can Anyone Make Sense Of This, Please?? - staceyburke - 12-04-2024 Welcome to the board... You have your pressures set from the factory. Most Drs. just set them with a 4 - whatever high number they choose and let the machine go do its thing. Not a good way for it to work. The absolute lowest any machine can go is 4 and that is what a child might be no not an adult. So that is the number you need to move up to get a good nights sleep. One of the things the Drs don't really care much about are Flow Limits but they are apnea also just like O and H events. The difference is they do not last long enough to be counted (at least 10 seconds) in the AHI. So to help with the FL we use EPR and you are using it at EPR3 which is good but to have that fully work and cut down the FL you need to raise the min pressure to at least 7. The settings need to look like this Min 7 Max 10 EPR full time set to 3 That should help you sleep better and get rid of most of the flow limits. RE: Pressure Problem: Can Anyone Make Sense Of This, Please?? - Deborah K. - 12-04-2024 Your upper pressure is also set too low, as you are bumping up against it a lot. I suggest you raise it to 14. |
