Resmed N30 cushion holder - FDSw - 12-04-2024

I've been using the Resmed N30 mask for about nine months now and find it comfortable and quiet (enough anyway). The one big issue I have had with it is early morning leaks.  With numerous seasonal allergies and a deviated septum I find one nostril usually plugs up overnight.  The extra pressure then slightly unseats the cushion an it leaks somewhat. The increased noise would frequently wake me up, especially the flatulence-like one that randomly occurs.

I tried taping it in place along the edges but the tape I have does not stick reliably to the silicone material.  I wondered if I could make a clip that would put pressure on the cushion edges to hold it more securely in place against the added pressure.  Some thought and a while with a computer CAD program and a 3D printer gave me a clip that seems to be doing the trick.  The only time I leak now is when my nose is profoundly congested but that wakes me before the leak and noises do.

The clip pops on and off easily for cleaning the cushion and has not popped off of it's own accord. (I'm a side only sleeper)

I've included a couple of images.  I can make the 3D file available if anybody is interested in printing one to try.

Great job using the technology at hand.
