Supplier Online Schedule vs Medicare Replacement Schedule - oneeyeopen - 12-16-2024 My online supplier has a number of supplies listed on my account ready for re-order. All that are listed have the box checked ready to add to cart including the two listed below. I started with this new CPAP machine late September of this year. Medicare notes humidifier water chamber as 6 months and the tubing as 3 months (which is very close). I do see the word placeholder but as I mentioned the boxes are checked. I've sent an inquiry to the supplier but was wondering if anyone has encountered this and if you questioned it. Really don't want to order anything that won't be approved for payment by Medicare. CPAP Humidifier Chamber: Placeholder for Humidifier chamber CPAP Tubing: Placeholder for Heated Tubing Thanks RE: Supplier Online Schedule vs Medicare Replacement Schedule - gainerfull - 12-16-2024 Unless they are cracked or damaged I don't see any reason to replace either. Most health care plans offer a schedule / budget for when you can replace consumables but you're not required to. RE: Supplier Online Schedule vs Medicare Replacement Schedule - Deborah K. - 12-16-2024 The DME's know what Medicare will pay for and offer the equipment on Medicare's schedule. If you pay out of pocket, only accept the items you actually need. When I get the email saying what they plan to send, I have the option to unclick items I don't want. You probably do too. I notice on your sidebar that you are using 5 as your low pressure setting. This is too low for almost all adults. I suggest you raise it to at least 7. You'll sleep better. Medicare picking up the tab within guidelines doesn't hurt. RE: Supplier Online Schedule vs Medicare Replacement Schedule - oneeyeopen - 12-16-2024 Thanks for the prompt, actually switched to Resmed Airsense 11 Autoset in September of this year. Just changed my profile (thanks). My understanding is that my setting starts at 4 and then auto adjusts as necessary. Is this not correct? RE: Supplier Online Schedule vs Medicare Replacement Schedule - Deborah K. - 12-16-2024 No, that's not correct. Almost every adult needs to start at 7 for their minimum pressure, and maybe try 15 as your max pressure, and set EPR full time to 3. Try those and post an Oscar chart so we can see how you are doing, and what needs to change. |
