Secret to wearing knightsbridge headgear? - super7pilot - 12-16-2024

Just bought the knightsbridge chin strap. Works wonderfully. With one exception. The back edge of the padding/velcro on the right hits my ear just at the bottom of the ear opening. And boy! After two hours my ear hurts so much that it wakes me up.

So is there some sort of secret I don't know of? or perhaps a mod I could do?  Throw it in the drier with NO HEAT to soften it up like a steak?

Hi super7pilot,

Please send me pictures or post them here so I can see what is going on.  Getting the ear holes to line up with people's ears is sometimes a bit tricky, but I do have some in stock with slightly different ear hole shapes and placement for such instances ...

Be sure to go to the official, i.e., non-counterfeiting, website by going to Supplier #37 here.  (I hope you bought from us and not the counterfeiter!)

Cheers,
Larry

I suspect that it is simply the shape of my ear cartilage is hard against the velcro area on the mask. Even though the inner area had the soft fleece. It still was just pressing too hard. And as i only sleep on my right side because of it being beneficial. And the Velcro is on the right. So my right ear suffers and i wake up in pain.

And yes. I ordered the air deluxe today from the same site i got the premium from. #37

I happened across the vid from lankey lefty about your drama.

Ah good.  I'm glad it was from us.

You might still send me a photo.

And another option is the mirror-image version with the Velcro on the left.  We can do a custom one for you if you'd like. Contact me if that seems like something you'd want to do.

I’ll give the deluxe a go as i’ve already ordered it earlier today.  I can’t imagine it not working. But if it doesn’t i can go with the mirrored/custom version.

Just to be sure. What exactly did you want a photo of?

Oh, I might have misunderstood.  Did you mean you first tried the Premium (which doesn't have the ear openings) and that was bothering your ear, so now you have ordered an Air Deluxe?  If so, that should work for you.

I misunderstood you to be saying that you had an Air Deluxe and your ear was touching the edge of the ear aperture ....

Yes! I have the premium that bothers my ear. And ordered the Deluxe.

Great.  Let me know how it works for you.  Smile
