TiMax and Inspiration Time? - zzzZorro - 12-17-2024

TiMax set to 2.0 and the Inspiration Time is bumping up against the 2.0 on the graph.  Does this mean the 2.0 needs to be raised to stop the rattling against the graph top or is it coincidental?
Thanks

Can we see a full screenshot? Can't see the values for inspiration time. From the flow limit graph it looks like you need more pressure, though.

I think increasing inspiration time may help, but you need to resolve the flow limitation that causes it by increasing PS to 4.0. I think you can reduce minimum EPAP pressure to accommodate the increase in PS. I'd like to see you reduce EPAP min to 10.0, reduce maximum pressure to 20.0 and use PS 4.0 for now. You can increase TiMax to 2.6. Post a new chart after trying these settings, and we will be able to fine-tune further.

I was hoping you would chime in.. Your plan is exactly what I had hoped for.  But I'm headed in at 0815 tomorrow for a TAVR procedure, so will be a few days before I can comply.  Rest assured I will get back with you ASAP.  Thanks Kindly.

P.S.<reference> Beginning January 3, 2023  I had 291 days with AHI average 1.22 at a setting of PS 2.0 over 16.0-24.0.  Six to eight months ago the sleep tech said the AHIs looked good but would like to see the pressure lowered. I have tinkered that idea but always reverted back after minor experimenting as it just made it worse. I believe this was one of the cases where the low AHI count is a 'cover-up' of the proper resolution.

Good luck and best wishes for your surgery. I think PS is your main issue to sort out on the sleep therapy when you get back. I hope resolving the aortic stenosis brings you good health and comfort. If you are admitted to the hospital and will sleep there, you may want to take the VPAP.
