Need a pathway to send data from SD to. - saltydawg2 - 01-04-2025
I have had an Oscar on a previous Windows 11 computer, but now have a new to me one. I downloaded Oscar and it asked for a folder location that apparently does not exist. It keeps taking me to the user who put Windows on laptop. I need to know how to make a path for the data to find.

It sounds like you are using this person's account on the PC. By default, OSCAR looks for its data path in the C:\users\UserName\Documents\OSCAR_Data.
If this person set up OSCAR, then you might try issuing the following command in a terminal window to point OSCAR to your Documents directory.

The person trying to set up Oscar is me. The other person, or, City Light Church 25 is the one who installed Windows 11, and has those files in their name. nothing about Oscar. We are
both administrators. I added your command, inserting my name though it started out with City Light Church 25. Oscar suggested I use C:\Users\STEPHEN\Documents. Clicked ok. Next screen to ask to select a folder with Sleepyhead or Oscar Data. click ok to to go to next screen, or NO if you don't with to use any Sleepyhead or Oscar data. clicked ok. went to Documents with folders, logs, Oscar Data, and Profiles. Clicked on Oscar Data, and select folder. Response: The folder you chose does not contain valid Sleepyhead or Oscar Data. You cannot use this folder :C\Users\City light Church 25\Documents\Oscar Data. Clicked on NO as well, and Got screen saying, "Unable to create the Oscar Data folder at C:\Users\STEPHEN\Documents. REALLY confused....... Apparently Oscar was downloaded into City Light Church 25. How can I change that from happening if I delete Oscar, and reinstall?

At this point, it would probably be better to take it back to "City Light Church 25" and let them fix it for you. After all, they know how they set up your system.

I contacted seller, and he suggested I reset to original setting. I did, and City Light Church 25 is no more. I downloaded Oscar again, and got the same responses as previous. I have downloaded Rescan, and get some information from there. It doesn't give me any detailed graphs to double click on. Best I can do, I guess. Thanks for your help.

I figured out how to get more info, at the cost of storage on disk. Maybe get a larger disk.
