Investigating P30i / N30i black spots - anyone got a microscope? - donsburg - 01-11-2025 Hi all, I've been thinking about the black spots that form on the white diffuser material on these masks. It is well documented, and I'm aware of the DIY method of replacing the material. However I'd love to know if the spots are mould, or just normal dirt that is always present in the air. I suspect a quick look under a light microscope would reveal the difference, and I wondered if anyone here has access to a microscope? From a quick Google it seems that mould and air particles would look quite different. Incidentally, I noticed the black spots form after just one or two nights use, which I suspect (hope?) is too quick for black mould to form. If it's not black mould it would reassure me that I don't need to change the diffuser material too frequently. |
