Looking for insight into Breathing Pattern Waveforms - textureofthings - 01-18-2025 Hi, I am trying to understand the nature of my arousals, so I have been looking a bit deeper into my breathing waveforms. I spoke to someone regarding my charts and they clarified that the centrals appearing in Oscar actually could be arousals or recovery breaths from previous flow limitations rather than true CA's. That was helpful to understand. I'm seeing that my breathing looks jagged and there are what looks like flow limitations. If anyone has insight into what could be happening in these screenshots, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you! RE: Looking for insight into Breathing Pattern Waveforms - cexer - 01-18-2025 first of all the leak rate might be to high and vary to much. afaik this confuses the machine. get this under control. adjust your gear and stuff. then you post new graphs where the leak-rate is ok. others would probably tell you this, too. i myself would be interested about your oxygen saturation. especially before the arousals. maybe you can record in parallel with a cheap finger-clip oximeter (one which records), or, even better, some blue-tooth thingy which you can pair with the machine for the saturation to be included with the rest of your data. after all i'm not the main guy here and others may help you better. RE: Looking for insight into Breathing Pattern Waveforms - ChadBSr - 01-18-2025 Jagged flow rate charts are snoring RE: Looking for insight into Breathing Pattern Waveforms - Panthera - 01-18-2025 You might find this wiki page helpful to read through. In particular, take a look at the section titled “Examples of respiratory wave form abnormalities including Flow Limitation”. There are some good visuals. https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php/Flow_limitation |
